O2, Broadband Messaging Product Manager (Contractor) Jan ‘06 to present
Developing a range of new and existing email and messaging products for the O2 Broadband launch.

Responsibilities include creating the Broadband Messaging proposition, customer research and usability testing, championing the products and customer experience, leading product portfolio through development phases, and cross-functional working.In addition, work as Business Lead for development and delivery of new Broadband Online Help.

Achievements: successful delivery of new and enhanced email and messaging products and self-serve online help, including UK’s first mobile email service using MMS.

Marketing Consultant (Freelance) Jan ‘03 to Jan ‘06
Projects included:

  • Lead generation campaigns and managing online presence. Achievement: continuous flow of leads at 20% above target (Perceptive Technology).

  • International website development. Achievements: improved customer acquisition, reduction in printing costs, and simplified site management (W4 Global).

  • Market development strategy and implementation for new product launch. Achievement: successful launch and early market take-up, and won London-wide business planning contract (BT).

  • Client product and service development strategies, developing and implementing business and marketing plans, and raising finance. Achievements: wrote marketing strategy for client leading to £1m funding from venture capital group. And developed existing and new services resulting in successful launch and early market take-up (Platinum Business Consultants).

  • Internal communications and supplier adoption programme as part of an e-Procurement programme. Achievement: smooth rollout and 100%awareness of change (Merton Council).

Lecturer Sep ‘03 to Dec ‘05
Lecturing on the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) programme at London Metropolitan University and Emile Wolfe College.

Achievements: students continuously achieved above national average pass rates, including 90% in one semester.

Perceptive Technology, Marketing Manager Nov ‘00 to Dec ‘02
Responsible for marketing and product management in company providing portal/intranet, knowledge management and business process management solutions.

Achievements: redefined and launched products with new proposition and immediately won substantial deal, and 100%+ increase in sales opportunities in existing and new markets.

Matinee, Marketing Executive Nov ‘97 to Nov ‘00
Set-up and managed marketing department for leading new media / corporate communications company. Managed major projects including set-up of new Internet services division and rebranding. And managed assistant, telemarketing team and data entry clerks.

Achievements: fully functioning marketing department delivering focused marketing campaigns, leading to 60% increase in revenue, and won 6 website design awards.
