Developed new products from concept to live (02) 

  • Objective – develop and bring to market a suite of email and messaging products as part of the broadband proposition. 
  • Solution – conducted market audit and customer research to support creation of proposition, customer experience and forecast usage, followed by managing each product through information architecture, design, coding, testing, trial and full launch. 
  • Result – successful delivery of new and enhanced products into trial and full launch.

Delivered new international website (W4) 

  • Objective – re-develop company’s website to reflect new products, online developments and changes in the market. 
  • Solution – audit of existing and competitors sites, followed by the creation of a new site structure, selection of a new CMS tool, and then working with the supplier, marketing and other business teams to develop and deliver the site. 
  • Result – successful launch of new website with improved features for lead generation and site management.

Strategy development for new product launch in new market (BT) 

  • Objective – launch new product in new market. 
  • Solution – research, analysis and segmentation of market leading to development of value proposition which was then delivered through an integrated communications campaign inclduing DM, exhibition and website.
  • Result – successful launch, early market take-up and unique market positioning.

New product strategy for existing business (Platinum) 

  • Objective – redefine products to better meet needs of market. 
  • Solution – customer and market research and segmentation, leading to new business positioning, introduction of new services and development of existing services, new pricing model and campaign to introduce to the market. 
  • Result – successful launch and market take-up.

Business planning to raise finance (Platinum client) 

  • Objective – create a credible business plan to support an application for £1m of funding. 
  • Solution – worked closely with the client to conduct a complete business, customer and market audit to identify opportunities and the optimum product mix and strategy to deliver projected future revenues.
  • Result – business plan which was accepted by a venture capital group on first presentation resulting in funding. 

Product development to meet change in market demands (Perceptive Technology)

  • Objective – increase sales opportunities through simplifying product offering to better meet customer needs. 
  • Solution – market and customer audit to identify key trends and opportunities, then working with senior management team, sales and technical teams to create new products focused on tackling specific business issues, with clearly defined features and benefits, and a new pricing model and promotional strategy. 
  • Result – products re-launched and immediately winning a substantial new deal. And ongoing increase in sales opportunities in existing and new markets.

Lead generation and brand building (Perceptive Technology)

  • Objective – build size and quality of sales pipeline to achieve revenue target. 
  • Solution – creation and execution of integrated communications campaigns focused on specific markets, utilising direct marketing, pr, sponsorship, web and email marketing, telemarketing and database development, and seminars, conferences and exhibitions. 
  • Result – increase in new business opportunities and continuous stream of new leads. 

Shift business from sales to market led to increase revenue (Matinee)

  • Objective – shifting business away from ad hoc targeting of multiple markets to focused approach. 
  • Solution – set-up marketing department to focus on a few core segments, developed central database, and then ran targeted campaigns using direct marketing (electronic and print), pr, telemarketing, web, advertising and sales support collateral. Also rebranded business to accurately reflect market position. 
  • Result – 60% increase in revenue and dramatic improvement in visibility among target audience.

Continuously helped students achieve above national average pass rates on CIM course.

Teaching marketing before I reached 30. It was always an ambition of mine to lecture marketing, but the plan was not to do it until I was 40ish. What made the experience even better was the results the students achieved, reaching above national average grades each term.
