Marketer goes over the top to source new job/contract
London, 20th November 2007, ‘Looking for a…’ campaign launches today to promote marketer.
Normally when someone wants to find a new job or contract they go down the traditional route of calling agencies and sending out their CV. Asomi, on the other hand, has gone one step further (or some might say other the top) by launching a campaign to promote his skills to would-be employers.
“I really wanted to do something different to attract attention to my marketing skills,” says Asomi. “And I thought that if I designed and delivered a marketing campaign around some of my skills it should stand out and help get me noticed.”
The ‘Looking for a…’ campaign uses a mix of media to target organisations in the Internet, Telecoms and IT industries. To drum up interest and attract would-be employers to Asomi’s website (www.asomi.co.uk) a mix of PR, banner ads, email shots, personal invitations, google adwords, search engine optimisation and word of mouth are being used. Once onto the website visitors will see career and personal information, alongside Asomi’s blog.
In closing Asomi said: “Some people will look at this and think that it’s over the top, while others will see someone that thinks differently and can add value to their business. Hopefully one of those has an opportunity for me.”
The campaign goes live on the 19th November 2007.

Very good, I wish you the best in your campaign which no doubt will lift a few eyebrows. Have you tried http://www.gather.com? I use that site to exhange my amatuer photographs and get tips and advice. It is a popular, interactive and relevant website that should help propel you a little closer to your goal.
